Industrial
photography encompasses the broad range of subject
, in any organisation, that undertakes commercial production
and sale of goods or services. Our expertise in technical photography
means we can provide superb photographs of your company’s
operations, products, staff and services, working directly
from your brief.
My work as an industrial photographer has
taken to some wonderful and unique places as often the special
projects that companies want photographing are more unusual
or hi-profile projects. In the last few years I have been
privileged enough to have been immersed in the River Tyne
in the deepest section of the new Tyne tunnel as it was sunk
onto the river bed, had a sneak peak at the Olympic park in
Stratford (London
2012), witnessed many a wonderful sunrise (Babcock
Rail) whilst photographing railway projects (Volker
Rail), been into the Sunderland Sewers and worked in a
hot and fiery foundry photographing parts forged for MOD tanks
(Astrum).
Like many aspects of the photographic industry a expert knowledge
of lighting, camera equipment are vital although I find many
clients will go with a photographer who has the ability to
not only follow a brief but create pictures and set-up whilst
on a shoot. As well as having a portable studio rig I also
utilise a lightweight lighting set for speed and flexibility.
My
love for industrial photography is due to my innate interest
in the the processes of construction and engineering. Being
able to see the works and understanding the processes are
key if your trying to tell the story.
